Shock to creator of TV game show ‘Takeshi Castle’: 74-year-old Takeshi Kitano was attacked Saturday night in Tokyo, Japan, the Mainichi daily reported.
While he was sitting in his car with his driver, the offender suddenly smashed the windshield with an ax. Then he also attacked other parts of the car. Neither Kitano nor his driver were injured.
The perpetrator can be arrested
According to NHK radio, the attack took place on the corporate headquarters of the TBS channel. It was previously filmed for a news and entertainment program. The attacker was arrested at the scene. He is said to be a man between the ages of 40 to 50. The police also managed to seize a knife with a four-inch blade. The incentive is not yet known.
