Prince Harry is officially returning to Great Britain

Britain's Prince Harry (39) has now officially moved his primary residence to the US. This emerges from publicly accessible documents from the British Commercial Register. Accordingly, Prince Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex is a resident of the United States, as indicated in the documents of the Travelist organization.

As the key person in charge of a non-profit GmbH committed to environmentally and climate-friendly travel, Harry must report important changes to the commercial register. Until now, Great Britain was still his first residence – he and his wife Duchess Meghan Markle (42) have been living in the US state of California since 2020. The couple has two children: Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2).

Changes were made last year

The change, announced just this week, was made on June 29, 2023 — the date Buckingham Palace announced that Harry and Meghan had moved out of Frogmore Cottage in the grounds of Windsor Castle. Charles III is said to have had a royal (75) anger over Harry's memoirs “Reserve” (original title: “Spare”) and kicked them both out of the royal estate.

After the 2018 wedding of Harry's late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, the couple took Frogmore Cottage as their home. It was initially renovated at a cost to taxpayers of £2.4 million (currently €2.8 million). The couple later repaid the amount. After Harry and Meghan separated from the royal family's inner circle in a dispute two years later, they rarely stayed in Windsor.

Harry moved to the kingdom earlier this year after his father was diagnosed with cancer. A 45-minute meeting between father and son offered at least hope for reconciliation.
