Daniellene Birkhead (15 years old) grew up without her mother, Anna Nicole Smith (1967-2007). Just four months after her birth, her former playmate died of an overdose of prescription medication. Daniline has now appeared on the red carpet and was instantly taken under the wing of pop legend Janet Jackson (55).
The baby is now a happy teenager just like his mother.
Dramatic start to life
On February 8, 2007, four-month-old Danilin became the only heir to her mother’s fortune, which amounted to 87 million Swiss francs at that time. Although Anna Nicole Smith still had a son, Daniel Wayne Smith (1986-2006), he died on September 10, 2006 at the age of twenty.
He collapsed in his mother’s postpartum room three days after Daniline was born. It was later determined that a combination of methadone and an antidepressant caused cardiac arrest.
Five men argued about paternity
When it became known how wealthy a once four-month-old baby was, five men quarrel over her parents: attorney Howard K. Stern (53), Anna Nicole’s last partner, Mark Hutten, with whom she was in a relationship, former bodyguard of Smith Alexander Dink (54), Prince Friedrich von Anhalt (78) and photographer Larry Birkhead (49).
Using a DNA test, the latter was determined to be Danylin’s father and was granted custody. Since, apparently, the girl grew up in a protected environment, her father moved from talk show to talk show, but mostly left his daughter.
First steps in public
Now Dannielynn dares to appear in public. She appeared with her father at the reception for the Kentucky Derby, a popular horse race in the United States, and was allowed to wear the original outfit of singer Janet Jackson on the red carpet at the after-show party.
Commenting on his daughter’s photos, proud father Larry Birkhead wrote: “Danielen is so happy. I think she looks like her mother’s twin Anna.” (grb)
