Britain's King Charles (75 years old) and his wife Queen Camilla (76 years old) attended Easter Mass at St. George's Chapel in Windsor.
This is Charles' first major public appearance since his cancer diagnosis last month.
The royal couple were seen smiling and waving as they entered the church in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Sunday morning. When someone from a group of onlookers shouted “Happy Easter!” He called the king and he replied: “And you too!”

The couple had traveled the short distance from their room in the castle to the chapel in the forecourt in a limousine. After a short greeting from the clergy, they entered the church.

Other members of the royal family have already arrived, such as Charles' sister, Princess Anne (73). The heir to the throne, Prince William (41 years old), his wife Princess Kate (42 years old) and their children did not participate in the service. Kate recently announced that she also has cancer and is now receiving preventive chemotherapy.
The king's appearance is seen as an attempt to reassure the public after discovering his illness. British media reported last week that Charles would appear more in public again after Easter.
