A new chapter will open in the summer for the best volleyball player in South Tyrol. Rafaella Foley is moving overseas and should help elevate women's volleyball to the professional level in the United States. Martin Berger and Silvia Fiore also have new clubs.

And from one of the best leagues in the world to the United States of America, where a professional women’s volleyball league will be established starting this summer. It goes this way Rafaela's foil. The 33-year-old from Messiaen near St Pauls will leave Italy and make her new sporting home in Houston. How does the deal come about?

Massimo Barbolini is mainly responsible for this. The coach was with Scandicci in the Women's Premier League last season, but will now take charge of Houston. The club from Texas searched Italy for reinforcements and found an open ear for Foley. The middle blocker, who played for Monza this year, follows coach Barbolini to Texas.
