Nashville Predators – Winnipeg Jets 5:2

Roman Jose (Nashville): 2 assists, TOI 22:30 min.

Led by powerful Roman Josie, the Nashville Predators ended their four-game losing streak. The Bernese defender managed two assists in the 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets, setting a club record.

Jose prepared for Mikael Granlund 2-0 and 3-0 for Ryan Johansen in the first period. The Predators captain now has 358 total passes for Nashville in the NHL Playoffs, the most in the NHL since 1998 NHL A franchise owned by the state of Tennessee.

“That’s really cool” Josie said about his record. “I have been very fortunate to play here for such a long time (11 seasons), in this great city, in front of our wonderful fans and great organisation. I had some great teammates. I am fortunate to play with so many great players, past and present. It is definitely something Very special.” One can say: he’s great…this season he has 29 assists (and 13 goals) to his credit.

Seattle Kraken – San Jose Sharks 3: 2

Timo Mayer (San Jose): 1 goal, 4 shots, Tui 21:22 min.

Timo Mayer scored more points in the current qualifiers than Jose. After his five goals against the Los Angeles Kings, Appenzeller also scored against the Seattle Kraken, but the San Jose Sharks lost 3-2 to the NHL newcomer. Mayer scored 21 goals and 25 assists after 36 games.

Philadelphia Flyers – Columbus Blue Jackets 1: 2

Dean Kokan (Columbus): 1 assist, TOI 11:32 min.

Dean Kukan prepared the first goal of the season. In the Columbus Bluejackets’ 2-1 away win over the Philadelphia Flyers, the Swiss defender set up 2-0. For the Flyers, it was their 10th loss in a row – and thus the second time this season they’ve gone through such a long negative streak.

Edmonton Oilers – Florida Panthers 0:6

The Edmonton Oilers, who didn’t win a game in the New Year but now suffered their seventh straight loss, received a standing ovation at home. Too much for some fans who angrily threw their jerseys on the ice:

The Oilers’ stars – Leon Drysittel and Conor McDavid, who are second and fourth in the National Hockey League’s top scorers list – repeatedly failed in front of Panthers goalkeeper Sergey Bobrovsky, who made 40 saves to lock in. (RAM/SDA)
