Bellinzona wins a stunning match against FC Aarau 5-2 after trailing 1-2. Meanwhile, Sion bounces back with a win at Stade Nunes, and Xamax beats Schaffhausen 2-1.
After two rounds with just one point, FC Sion secured a 4-0 win away to Nyon in the Challenge League. This means that the Valesians will guarantee their lead even after round 27.
Scion was not as successful as the score suggests. The deciding factor in the match was the yellow and red card against Nyon's Quentin Gaillard eight minutes after the end of the first half. Sion then scored three goals between the 67th and 73rd minutes, making the score 4-0. In addition to a second own goal in the second minute to make it 1-0, goals from Dejan Surjic and Baltazar made the clear result.
Theon, Sion's first pursuer, faces a challenge in Vaduz on Easter Monday. With the win, the Bernese Oberlands will come within two points of the leaders.
Bellinzona is playing an amazing match against Aarau
Third-placed Aarau, which is clearly far from the top two, lost 2-5 in Bellinzona in the first match after the departure of coach Alex Frei. Under interim coach Ranko Jakovljevic, FCA conceded three goals in Ticino between the 50th and 54th minutes from 2-1 to 2-4. Bellinzona scored the same number of goals in less than five minutes as in the previous eight matches this year.
