A year ago, Nintendo announced the closure of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShop. From March 27, players will no longer be able to purchase and download existing content from these online stores. The only small consolation is the fact that games already purchased after March 27th can still be downloaded. However, this ends an era, especially the era of the virtual console.

Both stores offer countless classics from the Game Boy (Color) and Game Boy Advance eras, like the first Pokémon games, Golden Sun and Zelda: The Minish Cap. Some of these games have recently become available as a subscription offer at NSO. However, the back and forth offering is not (yet) comparable to the full scope of the Virtual Console. this is shame.

A little over a year ago, in a question on Sunday, we asked if you’d buy a few more titles before the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U eShops closed. At the time, the majority indicated that they would no longer download games from eShops. But the closure is now imminent. That’s why we’re asking you the same question again today. Some people’s opinions may have changed as closing time approaches.
