This function can be used to limit the display of content only in the chat for seven days. The instant messenger then deletes the message automatically without any further queries.
The feature is not activated by default. To turn it on, open an existing WhatsApp chat or create a new one. Then click on the name of the communication partner or group in the address bar and then on the dot self-scan messages.
When using the function for the first time, the application displays an information page in which the most important points are summarized in a nutshell. After clicking Continue You can use the radio button to change the default Outside On a rearrangement.
In the chat, you will then see a message that self-delete messages have been activated. This means that from now on, all new content in this chat will be automatically removed after seven days. However, this does not apply to messages that were previously received or sent.
In addition, you should take into account that self-deletion affects only messages within a chat. For example, if you forward it or save it as a screenshot, it will be preserved.
Products: The trick works with WhatsApp version 2.21.11.17 for Android. The procedure may differ in other versions. (ad)
