Confusion over the dismantling of a historic bridge in Rotterdam for a luxury yacht by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos: According to media reports, the city of Rotterdam has not yet received a request for approval.

“I find the excitement very strange. No decision has been taken, not even a permit application has been received,” Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb said Thursday.
A spokeswoman said earlier on Wednesday that city administration had responded positively to a request from the shipbuilder. He had asked if the Koningshavn Bridge could be dismantled so that the nearly 40-meter-high superyacht could go out to sea once it was built.
