Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 in the Insider Program. For Windows Insider in Dev-Channel, there’s now a new preview to try with build number 22526. The list of changes for this build is longer again this time – but so is the list of persistent issues. Additionally, there are now some beta changes that will be rolled out only to some Insiders. This includes, for example, displaying ALT+TAB as a window instead of full screen for some Insiders and expanding Explorer’s search options. More on this in the release notes at the end of this post.
Known issues remain
Among other things, the Windows team has fixed the bug-checking bug that caused sudden crashes and reboots. In addition, the search in File Explorer has been improved and crashes that may have occurred when searching in File Explorer have been fixed. Windows Insider Amanda Langowski and Brandon LeBlanc provide an overview of the changes Windows Blog.
