With all the themes besides football, some fans will likely be looking forward to the 2026 World Cup, which offers different circumstances. It is already clear where this will happen: North America.

The 2026 World Cup is scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico

The 2026 World Cup will not be held in one country, but in three countries. This did not exist before. Availability of places United States of AmericaCanada and Mexico. The application was called “United 2026”. In June 2018, shortly before the start of the 2018 World Cup, the three countries were awarded the contract.

The exact schedule for the 2026 World Cup has not yet been determined. But what is clear is that it will not happen again in the winter, but rather will likely start in June 2026. However, there is also a big special feature: 48 countries will participate in the 2026 World Cup finals. In recent tournaments, the number of participants was limited to 32 participants. Most of the 2026 World Cup matches will be held in the USA. Eleven of the 16 places are in the United States. Most of them are stadiums where American football is actually played.
