When do you play Switzerland?

After clashing with the host country on the opening day (8:45pm), Switzerland will face France four days later (January 14, 6pm). The last group match against North Macedonia is scheduled for January 16 (6pm). Switzerland will play its last two matches at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin.

What does it look like?

The 24 countries compete against each other in groups of four in the preliminary round. There are two points for each win and one point for each draw. The two best-placed teams advance to the main round, where they end up in the same group – the result of the direct preliminary round duel remains the same.

In the main round there are two groups of six. The winners of their group and the runners-up of the show then compete in the semi-finals. In addition to the Grand Final, there are also matches for fifth and third place.

Who are your favourites?

There should be no way around Denmark, world champions in 2019, 2021 and 2023. However, the Danes were less convincing at the European Championships, in 2022 they won bronze. Defending champion Sweden must also be taken into account, as well as France (2018 European champions) and Spain (2020 European champions). For Switzerland, a move into the main role would come as a big surprise.
