Two of the biggest fixtures of the year in European club football get underway this week. In the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals, Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund will face Tuesday, and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will face Wednesday.
But many people believe that these highlights all happen behind the payment barrier. But this is not the case. We've combed through TV magazines for you and set the record straight.
Paris Saint-Germain – Borussia Dortmund, Tuesday 9 pm, on Channel 5
Paris Saint-Germain and Dortmund meet at the Parc des Princes in Paris. The Westfalian side won the first leg 1-0 thanks to a goal from Niklas Volkrug and have high hopes of reaching the final for the first time in 11 years. The match kicks off on Tuesday 7 May at 9pm and will be shown on free-to-air TV on the Italian TV channel Canale 5. We guarantee an emotional cliffhanger.
Real Madrid – Bayern Munich, Wednesday, 9 pm, on Hello TV
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich square off at the renovated Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg, hopes remain high on both sides, with the home team holding a slight advantage. The match can be watched on May 8 at 9 pm on the Austrian channel ServusTV, affiliated with the Red Bull Group. Does this give the game wings?
The final is on Saturday, June 1, at 9 pm on ZDF
For the first time since 2013, two German teams can qualify for the final. Even then, there were Bayern and Dortmund, and there was also the final, which, like this year, was played at Wembley Stadium in London. TV station ZDF, which will broadcast the match live on TV, will certainly be there from Germany. In Switzerland the final is 3+.
