Elon Musk cracks down on Twitter: After mass layoffs, he’s clamping down on his employees more and more: Anyone who doesn’t do “hard work” is gone.

Not a day goes by without buzz on Twitter.
Twitter employees are going through hard times. The chaos surrounding the new blue tick, mass layoffs including rehiring and new rumors every day keep SMS staff on alert.
Now the busy president, Elon Musk, 51, is adding more fuel to the fire. According to insiders, he sent an email last week urging employees to fully commit to the new strategy. Anyone who does not want to bring this up will be kicked out.
Great pressure on employees
In the email, Musk urged employees to stick 100% to the new strategy and make “serious substantive efforts” to achieve it. At the end of the letter, there was a link with the following wording: “If you’re behind the brand new Twitter, click here.” Anyone who did not click on the link by last Thursday evening was terminated with a three-month notice period.
Musk then explains exactly what “strong use” means in the email. Employees will have to calculate long and intense workdays. but that is not all. The Twitter boss added to the pressure by saying that only “extraordinary performance” was enough for him.
Twitter’s new boss was even more specific a few days ago in a speech to his workforce: Musk reportedly announced that employees must be willing to work an 80-hour week.
Home office abolition
Some time ago, Musk threatened to scrap the home office rule. This is now also true. Those who fully adhere to the new strategy are also giving up the option to work from home.
Working from home has always been a thorn in Musk’s side. He has already eliminated that option at his other company, SpaceX and Tesla. Every Musk employee must spend at least 40 hours a week in the office or on the job.
More than half of Twitter’s 7,000 employees have lost their jobs — and the exodus continues. Musk’s tough leadership is prompting more and more senior figures to resign.
