GfK Entertainment also set the official charts for German PC games this week. Here, Cities: Skylines 2 can confidently take the lead in a dual release. It seems that the technical problems did not affect sales numbers.
Developer Colossal Order and publisher Paradox released Cities: Skylines 2, the successor to the city-building game released eight and a half years ago, on PC on October 24. In terms of gameplay, construction simulation has a number of qualities, but the technology and performance behind it has been a construction site from the beginning – even after the first patch.
Cities: Skylines 2 has topped the PC game charts twice
However, it seems that all this did not bother the gaming public in general, because in the official charts of German PC games, which are determined by GfK Entertainment, Cities: Skylines 2 took the top – twice. The premium version of Cities: Skylines 2 immediately took the top spot on the PC game charts in calendar week 43. The cheaper Day 1 version of the city building simulator starts right in second place. Just the week before, Farming Simulator 22 reached number one – and this week it’s just enough for third place.

GfK Entertainment has also set the official charts for other platforms. The best-selling title to date is once again Super Mario Bros. Wonder. The wild platformer defends the Switch’s pole position ahead of Mario Kart Deluxe. EA Sports FC 24 and Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 dominates the PS5 and Xbox Series charts. Seven Metal Gear Solid games are reported to be grouped as the strongest new entry and start in third place in each case.
