Belkin announces the new Thunderbolt 4 base Connect Pro named. It’s a 12-port model that offers not only Thunderbolt 4, but also fast charging, dual-screen support, and more.
Compatible with both Macs and PCs, the Belkin Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock provides 12 ports for power, data, and video.
Unfortunately, there are no 12 Thunderbolt 4 ports But only two pieces. The remaining ports include two HDMI 2.0 ports, one USB-C port, two USB 3.1 USB-A ports, two USB 2.0 USB-A ports, an SD card slot, a Gigabit Ethernet port, and a 3.5-bit audio connector. The USB-C PD 3.0 port provides support for up to 90W of charging.
One 8K display with a refresh rate of up to 30Hz can be connected to the base. Alternatively, two 4K displays with a refresh rate of up to 60Hz can be connected.
The Belkin Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock costs about $400. The euro rate is not yet available to us.
Belkin also announced a cable for the Connect Pro Thunderbolt 4 Dock that should match the dock. It supports the full 40 Gbit/s bandwidth and allows charging up to 100W.
The cable is priced between $45 and $70 depending on the length.
