“Grand Theft Auto III” was published about 20 years ago. To celebrate the anniversary, Rockstar Games is releasing a new version of the classic “GTA” and two subsequent games.
The basics in brief
- GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas are getting a new version today Thursday.
- GTA: The Trilogy is available initially as a digital version and in December as a physical version.
- The new version is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.
For more than two decades, players of the “GTA” series have been experiencing exciting stories and adventures in the places of unscrupulous gangsters. Released as part of the 20th anniversary of the classic “Grand Theft Auto III” rock games On November 11th at 4pm a special remake in digital form.
With “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition”, players get revised versions of “GTA III” and the successors “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” and “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas”.
Aaron Garbutt, Head of Development and Co-Head of Studio at Rockstar North, explains on the anniversary: “With GTA III, we’ve been able to hone our approach to game development. We’ve followed that approach in every game we’ve played since then. […]. We want to create worlds where you feel as if you lived in them. Dynamic worlds full of different characters.”
What’s new in the trilogy?
«Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition» erscheint digital for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox OneAnd X-Box Series X/S. And Ond Nintendo Switch. PS4 physical releases will follow on December 7. Xbox OneAnd X-Box Series X/S und Switch.
“Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition” will also be available from November 11th at X-Box Game Pass and “Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition” starting December 7 Play Station currently.
