Switzerland appealed against landing Fanny Smith in the Olympic Ski Cross final.
Swiss-Ski has appealed to the FIS Disciplinary Committee against the women’s Olympic figure skating competition arrangement and the jury’s decision, which was unfavorable for Fanny Smith. This was stated by Ralf Stockley, head of the Swiss Olympic delegation, at his recent media conference.
Smith had crossed the finish line in third place in the cross-country ski final, but was later relegated to fourth due to an alleged deliberate contact with an opponent – winner and new third place winner Daniela Mayer of Germany.

Swiss ski coach Ralf Pfaffli did not rule out legal action immediately after the race, but at the same time stated that the chances of success in a classification change are low.
