Queen Elizabeth II, 95, loves fast food — but not in the usual way, former personal chef Darren O’Grady revealed to The Sun how the Queen wants burgers.
Anyone expecting a burger like McDonald’s is wrong. Instead of beef, game steaks are made when the Queen spends time at her summer residence, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. “We always made our own burgers at Balmoral, which always made me so happy. They shot deer and we made venison burgers from them,” says O’Grady. The former chef continued, “There were great cranberries there.” However, the Queen did without the bread roll.
No pizza for Queen Elizabeth II.
Darren O’Grady also remembers the meal Queen Elizabeth II did not eat. He was not even allowed to make pizza during his fifteen year career in the royal kitchen. According to him, the queen prefers classic French food. (BSN)
