She missed her third victory of the season: in the parallel giant slalom in the Blue Mountains, Julie Zug stopped only in the final.

A day after Ladina Jenny won the premiere, a Swiss woman also finished on the podium in the second parallel giant slalom in Blue Mountain, Canada. Julie Zug, who qualified with the third-best time in heats, advanced to the final. In the duel with the German Ramona Theresia Hofmeister, Zogg lost: she did not reach the finish line and therefore has to wait for her third victory of the season and her thirteenth victory in the World Cup.
The 30-year-old from St. Gallen, who twice won the parallel slalom in Bansko last week, took too much risk in the final and retired. Her opponent, as the winner of the qualifier, was allowed to choose the advantageous path.
Nevertheless, Zogg can travel to the World Championships in Georgia in Bakuriani (from February 19) with a good feeling. As the Parallel Slalom World Champion in 2019, she has already hit once.
Swiss men never pick up speed
For Patrizia Comer, the quarter-finals meant the end of a second chance in the Canadian province of Ontario. Jenny, Jessica Keizer, and Larissa Jasser were arrested earlier. Again, no Swiss made it to the men’s elimination rounds. Oskar Kwiatkowski of Poland won.
