“Total sale” at the small furniture store Depot on Freie Strasse in Basel
Posters on the storefront indicate that the business of German company Gries Deco Holding will soon close. The company announces that it will put 90 stores under testing.
“Total sales”, “everything is discounted” is what the posters on the front of the Depot store on Freie Strasse in Basel say. The Depot brand sells small furniture and home accessories and is part of Gries Deco Company GmbH, headquartered in Niedernberg, Germany.
When asked if the Basel branch would close, Depot's media office did not give a specific answer. Refers to a media release issued on April 2. It was announced that Christian Grace, owner of Grace Deco, will return to management and thus take over the daily operations of the company.
The reason mentioned is the “difficult economic situation.” The announcement also stated that the company is reviewing 90 branches. This is in order to further reduce rental costs. Among other things, lease agreements expire or are renegotiated. Specifically affected locations will be announced at a later date.
