Swiss food producer Hero wants to cut more than 50 jobs in Lenzburg.
The filling of jam portions is affected.
This is considered a mass layoff, so a consultation process will be opened.
Hero’s headquarters will remain in Lenzburg, Hero confirmed in a statement.
Hero wants to abolish more than 50 jam-packing jobs in Lenzburg, the cantonal Department of Economic and Interior Affairs (DVI) confirmed to the SDA on Wednesday. The Aargau Government Council and the Lenzburg City Council were actively informed by Hero.
A total of 55 employees are affected, Herro writes to the media. If more than ten percent of the workforce could lose their jobs on this scale, this is considered a mass layoff and requires a consultation process. “In order not to jeopardize the ongoing consultation phase,” Herro continues, “no further comments will be made.”
