US financial resources allocated to Ukraine have been almost exhausted. Congress must approve the new money, but there is resistance there. The head of the National Budget Office is now responding with an urgent appeal.
According to the government in Washington, the funds approved by the US Congress for Ukraine will be fully used by the end of the year. This came according to a letter sent by US National Budget Office Director Shalanda Young to the leadership in both chambers of Congress.
If the US Parliament does not act, the government will not have any money from the new year to purchase additional weapons and equipment for Ukraine or deliver equipment from its military stockpiles to Kiev. The White House released the letter on Monday.

The United States is Ukraine’s main military backer and has already provided it billions of dollars. US President Joe Biden has requested nearly $106 billion in new money for Ukraine, Israel and other spending.
