Justin Thomas was quick to taunt fans at the Ryder Cup after sinking a birdie to maintain his lead over Sepp Straka.
The Team USA star reacted fiercely after his birdie on third.
After Straka drained a 20-foot birdie, Thomas responded in emphatic fashion to tie the hole and hold his own.
Failing to contain his emotions, he raised an imaginary hat to the watching fans.
After an emotional fist bump, he then stuck his right ear out in front of European fans at Marco Simone Golf and Country Club.
Team USA teammates were booed throughout the tournament in Italy as America looked to win the Ryder Cup on foreign soil for the first time since 1993.
With Team USA on the verge of another away defeat, Thomas knew that allowing Straka to tie his singles match could result in Europe getting more points on the board.
Social media went into meltdown over Thomas’ reaction, with one fan posting on X: “This is quality Justin Thomas cap s***housery advice at its finest.”
Another said: “Justin Thomas is exactly what the golf course needs. F****** love the guy!”
A third added: “Justin Thomas raising the fake hat would have been even more adorable if he wasn’t one of the worst players here this week.”
This fan then commented, “Justin Thomas talks a lot about someone who hasn’t done anything all week.”
Then someone sent a message: “The rest of the US team needs to get to Justin Thomas’ level! Need that fire!”
Meanwhile this user said: “Justin Thomas ensures he will never be allowed back in Europe.”
Another simply said: “Justin Thomas is a national treasure.”
