MSI has announced a whole range of new gaming monitors with OLED panels and quantum dot layering, which will be presented in more detail at CES in January.
MSI’s new QD-OLED AI display series is said to be equipped with the “latest generation QD-OLED panels” and will be available in curved and flat variants. The new models include the MAG 341CQP 34-inch UWQHD QD-OLED and 1800R curved panel in 32:9 format, which has a gray-to-gray response time of over 0.03 ms (GTG) and should have a refresh rate of 175 Hz. The largest model is the 49-inch MPG 491CQP QD-OLED with 1800R as well and the same response time, while 144Hz is supposed to be offered here.

According to MSI’s announcement, both models are VESA certified for ClearMR 9000 and DisplayHDR True Black 400. With OLED Care 2.0, there should also be improved screen protection, which reduces the risk of damage to the OLED panel during prolonged use, while improving heat dissipation The efficiency should also contribute to a long service life despite the fanless design. In addition, AI technology aims to improve the gaming experience and features such as Smart Crosshair, Night Vision AI, Optix Scope, and more.
The monitors, also suitable for console gamers, offer, among other things, two HDMI 2.1 ports with a full bandwidth of 48 Gbps, a USB-C port for charging mobile devices, support for 120 Hz mode as well as VRR and ALLM. In addition, MSI Console Mode is equipped with CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), allowing users to control their devices with a single controller. Information on pricing and availability is still missing, but it is expected to be presented at the CES electronics trade show on January 6th. Four additional models in WQHD and UHD resolution are also planned:
