Porsche 911 SC Targa (1980)

Porsche 911 SC Targa (1980)

There’s a car that fascinated me when I was a teenager. The Porsche 911 has always been very beautiful. The design of this car has held up great over the years. Despite the powerful technology, my Porsche 911 SC Targa version, which is more than forty years old, has made a significant impact.
When I bought a Porsche 8 years ago with a veteran record and MFK test, I was aware that the car was not perfect because it had never had a comprehensive overhaul. With over 200,000 km on the mileage and a few previous owners who didn’t treat the car very lovingly, I intended to completely overhaul the car.
I took advantage of the long winter evenings to disassemble the car. First I removed the engine. I have taken this to a specialist workshop to have it repaired by experts. (picture)
When I disassembled the remaining parts, I kept a list of worn or wearable parts, most of which I could buy again.
In February 2018, I prepared the car to the point that the body could be taken to a specialist for a general repair (photo) and then the waterjet technique revealed covered defects that had to be fixed with additional and complex work on the body.
Now the Porsche is back in my garage. The front and rear fenders and hoods were replaced and the car remeasured. All receipts from the bodywork specialist and full photo documentation are available. I also have extensive documentation for spare parts. Financial investments to date amount to approximately 25,000 Swiss francs.
If anyone is seriously interested in completing work on the vehicle, please contact me in writing.
