Plant manufacturer Martin established a new branch in Great Britain

Plant manufacturer for environmental and energy technology Martin GmbH has established a new subsidiary in Great Britain, trading as Martin Renewables Solutions Ltd (MRS). By opening a British branch, the Martin Group further expands its international network and improves its ability to respond to spare parts needs, the Munich-based company explains. At the same time, Martin can expand its portfolio in the areas of modernization and service, thus ensuring on-site support for customers throughout the entire life cycle of the technology used.

MRS is based in Ward, Cheshire, about an hour’s drive south of Manchester. Martin said that by combining offices and warehouses in one location, the new branch plant provides better conditions for providing service and modernization services, as well as stocking and supplying spare parts in the UK.

The team led by Jean-Francois Brua has decades of experience in the waste incineration sector and therefore knows the needs of customers. MRS develops suitable OEM solutions for complete combustion lines (firing, boilers, exhaust gas treatment) in close cooperation with specialist departments at Martin headquarters in Munich and with French subsidiary LAB in Lyon. “This enables Martin to deliver the widely acclaimed quality from a regional location and therefore closer to our customers,” the plant manufacturer explains in a press release.

According to a reference list published on the company’s website, there are currently 27 thermal waste treatment plants in the UK using Martin’s technology. Spread over 47 combustion lines, these plants have a capacity to burn about 22,300 tonnes per day. The youngest and largest plant, with a daily output of 2,200 tonnes, is currently under construction at Lostock, north of Manchester.
