Grateful for the sporting life
Competing in the same sport makes it easier for loved ones to spend time together on Thanksgiving, like husband and wife jousting, Lee Keiferwomen’s individual Olympic champion, and Jerrick Meinhardta two-time Olympic bronze medalist in the men’s discipline.
The busy couple are also studying to become doctors, but have put their studies on hold while they focus on the Paris 2024 Games. A day of reflection has given them “gratitude for the help and support of our family and friends”.

“I’m grateful for the life I have, it’s an absolutely amazing life,” Roberts said as she checked the name of her main support network of her parents and a friend.
However, she paused before remembering the other members of her group who she had to thank.
