2K announces new features and updates for The W*in NBA® 2K22 For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S.. WNBA mode features an all-new board progression system, three playable activities on vacation days, and the ability to connect with friends online.

Since the premiere of The W in a NBA® 2K “We’ve made it our goal to develop the most comprehensive set of game modes and features with a focus on a professional women’s league,” says Felicia Stenhouse, Senior Producer at Visual Concepts. “We focus on authenticity and gaming experience that honors some of the best basketball players in the world: the WNBA women.”

The WNBA mode builds on the debut of The W* last year and this year has even more realism and additional ways to experience the league on and off the field:

• new progression system The new badge progression system allows players to collect badges to improve their game and become a WNBA legend. In both on-court and training competitions, players can equip and upgrade boards to align their My PLAYER formations based on their strengths;

• free days – W introduces three new playable activities on days off to simulate training days and play-free days. Practice games, team training, and contact drills give players a chance to improve their skills over the course of the season. For the first time in series history, current and past WNBA stars can be challenged in the course of contact drills in order to gain new skills on your path to fame;

• W Online – with back in NBA 2K22 For PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, W Online provides new ways to connect with the 2K community. Players can now band together before they look for players to play together as a team on the field. For playing games in The W Online, you will receive Season XP, which you can use to level up and earn new prizes and rewards.
