MXoN Team Australia with factory Honda riders

MXoN Team Australia has announced the 2022 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations on September 25 at Red Bud. It is one of the best teams in the country in the history of the event. With three Honda works drivers, the team is undoubtedly one of the favourites.

After the 2018 team (Mitch Evans, Hunter Lawrence and Kirk Gibbs) missed out on the podium, Team Australia went with them. Mitchell Evans, Jett Lawrence And Hunter Lawrence A great chance to win the Chamberlain Cup.

Australia first competed in the MXoN in 1984, when riders Stephen Call, Trevor Williams, David Armstrong and Vaughan Style Augiore traveled to Sweden to try it out with very little experience and a budget. Since then, Australia has always fielded a team, with riders such as Craig Dock, Glenn Bell and Jeff Leask finishing 4th in France in 1988, and more recently Chad Reed, Brett Metcalfe and Matt Moss finally joining the 3rd team in 2011.

Who drives where?

Mitch Evans will start in the MXGP class as expected, while Hunter Lawrence will do his best in the MX2 class. His younger brother and current leader of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross MX2 Championship will try his luck in the open class. The team manager is Michael Byrne.
