King Charles III has left hospital after days of treatment for an enlarged prostate. The British head of state was released on Monday after a planned procedure, Buckingham Palace announced. He postponed some public appointments to allow for personal recuperation. British media had earlier reported that his wife, Queen Camilla, had returned to a private London hospital.
Surgery for benign prostate enlargement
“His Majesty is grateful to the medical team and everyone who supported his visit to the hospital and is grateful for all the messages he has received over the past few days,” the statement continued. Raja underwent a procedure for benign prostate enlargement at a London clinic on Friday.
Hours earlier, Charles' niece Princess Kate was released from the same hospital. The wife of Prince William, the heir to the throne, underwent stomach surgery two weeks ago. The exact diagnosis is unknown.
