Premier League: Tottenham are no longer leaders
Tottenham suffered their first defeat in the English Premier League in their 11th match this season. The score against Chelsea was 1:4 at home in the London derby. Dejan Kulusevski gave “Tottenham” the lead (sixth) before the disaster began for the hosts. First Cristian Romero was sent off (33), then Micky van de Ven and James Maddison – both important pillars of Spurs – were forced to leave the field injured (45 + 1). After 55 minutes had passed and receiving the yellow and red cards against Destiny Udoji, the home team had only 9 players, and the “Blues” took advantage of that. Nicholas Jackson (75/90+4/90+7) made Man City the new leaders with his hat-trick.
Italian League: Rodriguez injured
A week before meeting the Swiss national team in the last 3 matches of the European Championship qualifiers, Ricardo Rodriguez had to be replaced due to injury. In Torino’s 2-1 win over visiting Sassuolo, the Torino captain left the field shortly before the end of the first half after grabbing his right thigh several times. It is not yet known whether the injury will threaten his participation in upcoming international matches.
