Erdogan puts Turkey into lockdown

In light of the high number of Corona cases, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced (67) more closures. From April 29 to May 17, all operations without a special permit will have to be closed, Erdogan said in Ankara on Monday. The Ministry of the Interior will announce the exceptions. Travel between cities is possible only with permission.

Due to the sharp rise in the number of cases, Turkey has already tightened Corona restrictions at the start of the mid-April fasting month. For example, cafes and restaurants had to close and switch to delivery services. There is also a night curfew.
