Dorothy Platz succeeds city archivist Werner Warth

Dorothy Platz, 46, studied modern history, history of science and English literature at the University of Bayreuth. She then obtained a doctorate in modern history from Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. She then completed two years of specialized training at the Marburg Archive School. Dorothy Platz has many years of experience as a scientific archivist. Since 2021 she has also been working as a lecturer at the Graubünden University of Applied Sciences, and in 2022 she became self-employed in an archive service company. She performs her role as City Archivist and Records Manager for the City of Will with a 30 percent workload.

Dorothy Platz replaces former city archivist Werner Warth, who will retire on January 31, 2024. Werner Warth has been looking after the city archives of Weil since 1995.
