Trump eventually turned over several documents to the National Archives and Records Administration. However, the judiciary is said to have started an investigation.
A search of the former president’s assets requires authorization from the highest levels of the judiciary. Justice Department officials declined to comment on any aspect of the search warrant, the New York Times wrote.
