ADAC GT Masters Champion Mies: Double Guest Launch in Australia

(Motorsport-Total.com) – Current German GT Champion Christopher Mees will make his double start in Australia this weekend (November 26-28). The 32-year-old will compete in both the GT World Challenge Australia and DCR Australia at the Mount Panorama Circuit in Batherst.

Mies, who won her second ADAC GT Masters title with Ricardo Feller in Nurburgin in early November, was one of the first international drivers to compete in Australia since the COVID-19 epidemic began in March 2020. About a year and a half later, the country recently reopened its borders to foreigners.

“Fatherst has always been special and I look forward to coming back after many years without being in Australia,” Mees said. “Australia has always been my favorite country and a joy in racing. I love the Australian racing culture,” said Mies, who has already won the Bathurst 12 Hours twice in the GT3 car.

At GTWC Australia Race, Mies will share the Audi R8 LMS with Yasser Shah. The GT3 car, like the Audi RS3 LMS DCR, is used by the factory support team Melbourne Performance Center (MBC).
