Twenty years after the first and ten years after the last movie, Harry Potter took his wand out again and brought Daniel Radcliffe (32), Rupert Grint (33) and Emma Watson (31) back together for the first time at Hogwarts Magic School. On January 1, two special films will be released for the constantly huge fan base around the world – in Switzerland on the Sky Show.
On the 20th Anniversary of Harry Potter: Back to Hogwarts, the illustrious trio with director Chris Columbus (63) and other actors from the eight films travel back to Hogwarts by train. Based on new interviews, the big review offers a “magical journey through one of the most popular movie series ever,” Warner Bros. film studio announced.
Plus Radcliffe, Grint, Watson, Helena Bonham Carter (55) as Bellatrix Lestrange, Ralph Fiennes (59) as Lord Voldemort, Robbie Coltrane (71) as Hagrid, Gary Oldman (63) as Sirius Black or Imelda Staunton (65)) Like Dolores Umbridge.
Helen Mirren achieves her big dream
The second special – “Harry Potter: Hogwarts House Starring” – is a four-part series, directed by star actress Helen Mirren (76), who can finally fulfill a long-awaited dream. “I knew I’d one day get the role of ‘Harry Potter,’ and I’m glad to be able to feature in the film’s twentieth anniversary,” says the British Academy Award winner. When it comes to the question of what her favorite work in the series is, she can’t decide “Films have charmed so many people, and it’s an honor to bring that magic back,” says Mirren.
Fans can put their knowledge to the test in hundreds of quiz questions and become the champions of the House Cup. Whether bestselling author J.K. Rowling, 56, will be among the announced surprise guests at the second special, remains an unsolved mystery. Because of her recent statement that transgender people should be identified by their biological gender, the British writer recently maneuvered herself a bit on the sidelines.
