what is he talking about?

European championship titles are awarded in twelve sports. The Swiss Olympic Games offer participants in badminton, fencing, rowing (slalom and sprint), modern pentathlon, cycling (BMX freestyle and mountain biking), synchronized swimming, taekwondo, table tennis, triathlon and diving.

In 19 sports, it is also about the direct stakes places or important standings list points for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

History of the European Games

The main event was introduced by the European Olympic Committee (EOC) to bridge the gap compared to other continents. These competitions have long known similar rivalries with the Pan American and Asian Games (since 1951), the Pacific, African and, since 1978, the South American Games. Like the Olympic Games, they are all held every four years. The last edition was held in Minsk in 2019.
