The Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One received broad backward compatibility for the original Xbox 360 and Xbox titles about a year ago. The library available hasn’t had much new growth in the past few months, but that has now suddenly changed. Because as Microsoft announced in the big stream marking the Xbox’s 20th anniversary, more than 70 titles will be added to the backward compatibility lineup today. This includes a number of Xbox 360 titles that fans have always wanted to stand out.

Games aren’t just playable anymore, however, and many of them have gotten some improvement over Microsoft’s next-gen systems. All new games support Auto-HDR, provided you have a monitor that can display HDR effects. 11 of the over seventy titles get an FPS boost, so play twice the frame rate than the originals. In addition, new Xbox Original titles run at significantly higher resolutions, on Xbox Series X, for example, at four times the resolution.
