1. FC Kaiserslautern has completed its training camp in America and is expected back on Friday.
In the end it was a passionate game in front of nearly 20,000 spectators.
Because in the test against the MLS team Minnesota United FC (1: 2), the half-time interval lasted more than an hour. Reason: Thunderstorms occurred at many places around the stadium. Even the grandstands had to be destroyed for safety reasons.
American boy Terrence Boyd (32) of Lattern felt particularly comfortable during the ten-day training camp. He scored in a 1–0 win against Minnesota and previously netted twice in a 2–1 win over Louisville City FC.
Coach Dirk Schuster (55) was satisfied with the training camp: “MLS has become a very strong league. We have a very tough training camp behind us. The guys did a great job.
Incidentally, the same applies to the last intense running session at the end of every training camp.
Impressive: In Minnesota, a large crowd of fans created a great atmosphere. When Capt. Gene Zimmer (29) asked supporters, he discovered that the US military base “Ramstein Air Base” near Kaiserslautern was also responsible. It is also better known than FCK.
