Swiss curlers improve with Pablo Lachat, Sven Michel, Skip Jannik Schwaller and Benoit Schwarz van Berkel at the World Home Championships in Schaffhausen. After two defeats in the first three matches, the hosts achieved their fourth consecutive victory against New Zealand, which did not achieve any victory. The 8:3 favorite won without any problems.

The Swiss started the match well and scored a double set in the first end. With the next deuce in the fourth end they made it 4:1. The New Zealanders had behaved so incorrectly throughout the game that they were unable to put any real pressure on Schwaler and Co. The two stones at the sixth end to make the score 6:2 mean the initial decision. After 8 overs New Zealand surrendered.

In the evening match against the Czech Republic at 7:00pm, Switzerland are favorites again and can take a big step towards the knockout stage.
