Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 3rd generation
At Snapdragon Summit 2023, Honor confirmed that the Magic 6 Pro will be based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The new chip has new Cold CPU, which uses a 1+5+2 configuration. Compared to Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, CPU performance is up to 33 percent better (multi-core), with single-core performance increased by 15 percent. The GPU is up to 28 percent faster.
The biggest performance improvements are probably in the AI area, because here the SoC is said to run 98 percent faster. Eye tracking in particular should benefit from this. At this point, it’s not clear how much RAM the chip will have available. At the highest level of equipment there should again be 16 GB of RAM.
MagicOS 8.0 operating system based on Android 14
