If you rely on two wheels, you travel sustainably, promote health, and get to your destination quickly. This is why the St. Gallen region, together with the municipalities and cities of Wittenbach, St. Gallen, Gosau and Heressau, is running one of the 22 Switzerland-wide regional challenges from Cyclomania.
The show will take place from September 1 to 30. All residents of participating cities are invited to pedal in the St. Gallen-Vellow District Challenge.
Participation is easy: download the free Cyclomania app, register for the “St. Gallen Region” challenge, ride a bike and collect points. Instant prizes are up for grabs and the main prize is a stylish Riese & Müller e-bike.
In addition, prizes are awarded to the three communities or regions with the most active and active participants.
Cyclomania helps improve Wittenbach’s cycling infrastructure
By tracking bike paths via the app, participants provide important information in favor of a suitable bike infrastructure.
The data is anonymised and processed on the map. From this, insights about bicycle traffic can be drawn. This information can support the planning and expansion of the bicycle network in Wittenbach, so that cyclists can go through everyday life more safely and comfortably in the future.
With its commitment to Cyclomania, the municipality of Wittenbach wants to help more commuters, students and families discover cycling and switch to healthy and environmentally friendly modes of transport.
