Zurich rapper EAZ leads the race with three nominations. Pop singers Beatrice Egli and Gioia Marlene could receive their fourth Swiss Music Award.
On May 8, 2024, the most prestigious awards in the Swiss music scene will be awarded at the Hallenstadion in Zurich: the Swiss Music Awards.

“Best female work”
This year, Beatrice Egli, Gioia Marlene and Serena Tilly can hope to receive an award in the “Best Actress” category. Pop singer Beatrice Egli has been nominated for a Swiss Music Award for the 10th time, and has already won three of the prestigious awards.
Gioia Marlene, a 20-year-old musician from St. Gallen, became known for her hit song “Nightmare” and has also won three Swiss Music Awards. On the other hand, Aargau rock singer Seraina Tilly was nominated for the first time. She reached number one on the Swiss album charts with the song “Addicted to Colour”.
“Best male work”
In the “Best Male Performance” category, three musicians vie for the crown, who always come up empty-handed. EAZ, a Zurich rapper with Kosovar roots, has already been nominated for a Swiss Music Award twice, and Bernese dialect rocker Gölä has been nominated seven times. However, he always came up empty-handed – at least as a solo artist. Last year he received an award as part of the “Büetzer Buebe”.
Despite four nominations, Bashi has not yet been allowed to take any of the concrete blocks home with him. Today, he tells “Faces and Stories” that the award will be a “wonderful recognition” for him. For at least one of the nominees, the wait for the Swiss Music Prize will soon be over.
