Shakria has gone through a long period of suffering

Thiem won the gold medal in the individual competition with Chakaria at the 2021 European Championships in Riesenbeek. But due to an injury to his 13-year-old horse, he was unable to defend his European Championship title in Milan last year. The Mecklenburg native has been competing in tournaments in the USA for a few weeks and used his first horse for the first time in an easy test nearly three weeks ago.
