  • “Last Generation” climate activists stormed the stage of folk rock 'n' roll singer Andreas Gabalier in Ischgl, Austria, on Sunday.
  • Gabalier's security men did not hesitate for long.
  • The activists were unable to show their signs, but instead threw confetti around them.

Successful showrunner Andreas Gabaler (39) won't soon forget this party.

Climate activists disrupted his concert, which was held on Sunday at the ski resort of Ischgl in Austria. Two members of the “Last Generation” stormed the open-air Gabalier Theater in Ischgl – and wanted to raise a banner.

But Gabalier's security stopped them immediately. Before they were taken away, they threw confetti around themselves.

Folk rock singer Andreas Gabalier was unfazed by the campaign. He joked, “Maybe this is a carnival act or something?” The audience applauded.

The campaign is not a carnival joke

Climate activists in the “last generation of Austria” commented on Gabalier's campaign on X.

They wrote: “If we take the climate crisis seriously, we know that governments around the world, especially in Austria, must urgently do something about it.
