Germany is not progressing even under new coach Julian Nagelsmann. The host of the 2024 European Championship also lost to Austria three days after 2:3 to Turkey, this time 0:2.
German League players Marcel Sabitzer and Christoph Baumgartner scored in Vienna for the host team coached by German Ralf Rangnick, Dortmund’s Sabitzer in the first half and Leipzig’s Baumgartner in the second half. Due to a red card against Leroy Sane for assault, the otherwise harmless Germany played frighteningly from the 49th minute onwards.
