Many fans have been worried for a while Robbie Williams. The singer and artist has lost a lot of weight in recent months. The Brit now announces on Instagram that he suffers from body dysmorphic disorder or conformophobia. Affected people come to terms with supposed flaws in their bodies, and the perception of their body image is disturbed.

“My ideal weight is when people worry about me,” reads a graphic posted by Williams on Instagram. Lyrics dub black humor. It becomes clearer in the accompanying commentary. “I could write a book about self-loathing when it comes to my body image,” Williams wrote.

He knows “pure self-loathing” and “the ugliness of feeling ugly.” If he could choose a superpower, he wouldn’t choose to fly, preferring to be able to eat as much food as he wants while maintaining his target weight.

Robbie Williams: “I have a form defect”

“I have a conformation phobia,” explains Williams, who says she sometimes struggles with being over 40 pounds overweight. “So you can imagine what my soul sees. Or maybe you can’t. Either way, it’s a bloody disaster.” He’s currently thin, but his head tells him, “Damn cool Rob, you managed to get skinny and now you’re old, congratulations.” He’s been struggling with it his whole life “and it just won’t go away,” he continues. The sadness he feels at times is horrific.

He wonders what makes self-acceptance and self-love so difficult for some people that it seems downright impossible. His followers share all of these sentiments as a kind of outlet: “And if anyone recognizes themselves in these words I have written, may it help us both.” In the comments, many fans share their own experiences, saying they are thinking of Williams and wish he would find that self-acceptance and self-love.

Weight fluctuations have already been noticed

As early as April this year, there were concerns among fans about Robbie Williams’ weight. His wife Aida Field, whom he has been married to since 2010, posted a short clip on Instagram in which he was shirtless. The comments said many times how skinny the artist looks.
