What was going on between Prince Andrew (61) and Ghislaine Maxwell (60)? On Tuesday evening, ITV will show the new documentary “Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Pedophile” (“Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Pedophile”). It concerns the two’s involvement in the sexual offender Jeffrey Epstein (1953-2019) sexual offender scandal. Two insiders in the documentary speculate about a possible relationship between Maxwell and Andrew.
Ewan Riley, 53, a British investment banker based in New York, attended Oxford University with Maxwell and was a guest at dinner parties that she and ex-boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein had in the United States. He remembers being invited to Epstein’s home in New York one night and Maxwell introduced him to Andrew. In the documentary, Riley tells journalist Ranveer Singh, 44, according to The Telegraph, “She called Andrew her boyfriend, not Jeffrey’s.” He continues, “I had a feeling that Prince Andrew and Ghislaine might have been a couple in the past. They had easy affection for each other.”
Ghislaine Maxwell entered the mansion “as you wish.”
A former officer in the Royal Protection also spoke of a very close relationship between Maxwell and the Duke of York, writes The Sun. Paul Page was a member of the Royal Guard Command from 1998 to 2004 and had access to Andrew’s private residence.
The bodyguard, who was jailed in 2009 for fraud of 3.7 million Swiss francs, alleges that Ghislaine Maxwell rarely checked in and entered the mansion when it suited her. “Because of the way she was allowed in and out of the palace as she had wished, we suspected that she had an intimate relationship with Prince Andrew,” Page recalls. She was constantly in and out.
Involvement in the Epstein case
Both Ghislaine Maxwell and Prince Andrew were implicated in the Epstein scandal. At the end of December, a New York jury indicted Ghislaine MaxwellRecruiting underage girls for sexual abuse by Jeffrey Epstein. The verdict has not yet been announced. Additionally, her lawyers announced that they would appeal.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew still has a trial. Virginia Joffrey, Epstein’s victim, accuses Andrew in a civil lawsuit in the US of repeatedly abusing her as a minor. Andrew denies all allegations. The court rejected his request by rejecting it last week. As a result, Prince Andrew renounced all military titles and resigned from his royal postss. (BSN)
